Sudden passing of Rolando Núñez Nario

 It is with great sadness that the International Federation of Actors learned the sudden passing of the Cuban actor and union leader Rolando Núñez Nario on November 23^rd.

Rolando was the president of Cuban Performers Union UNEAC (Asociación de Artistas Escénicos de la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba). He was active in theatre, cinema and television in Cuba for years and received several national awards for his career. He gained a wide notoriety while interpreting the role of ‘Botaperro’ in one of Cuba’s most famous and popular TV series from the 90’s: ‘Su propria Guerra’.

FIA and all its members share in the sadness of the Núñez Nario family and extend their deepest condolences to them in these sad circumstances.
