FIA Launches New Resource Page on Artificial Intelligence

Working Conditions Labour Rights and Collective Bargaining Intellectual Property Fair Remuneration Artificial Intelligence AI Regulation and Policy Union Actions and Campaigns FIA News

Today, FIA launches a new Artificial Intelligence Resource Page on its website. Designed specifically for FIA members, this comprehensive hub provides essential tools, insights, and guidance to help performer’s unions navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI in the arts and entertainment sector.

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the creative industries, raising urgent questions about performers’ rights, consent, compensation, and control over their voice, likeness, and performances. FIA and its members advocate for human-centric approaches to AI that enhance creativity rather than replace it, and for robust legal and contractual safeguards that protect performers worldwide.

Recognizing the need for clarity and support, FIA has curated a dedicated resource page to empower its members with knowledge, best practices, and actionable advice. The new page is designed as a practical tool, bringing together materials across five key sections:

  • Industry Guidelines, Resources and Toolkits
  • Language and Provisions in Collective Agreements and Contracts (access to the documents in this section is restricted to FIA members)
  • Advocacy, Campaigns and Awareness Raising
  • Global Public Policy, Case Law and Articles of Interest
  • Latest FIA news articles on AI

Together, these sections provide a comprehensive overview of both the practical and policy dimensions of AI, enabling affiliates to access relevant materials quickly and efficiently. The resource page draws on FIA’s growing body of work, including policy guidance, advocacy initiatives and analysis of emerging issues.

It also complements key publications such as FIA’s AI policy and practical guide, which outlines strategies for collective bargaining, consent frameworks and fair remuneration models in response to AI-driven changes.

By centralising these materials, FIA aims to strengthen the capacity of its members to respond effectively at both national and international levels. As AI regulation and industry practices evolve differently across regions, the resource page can help foster international coordination. By sharing knowledge, legal developments and bargaining practices, FIA affiliates can build stronger, more consistent approaches to AI worldwide.
