ILO Survey on Sexual Harassment in the Entertainment Industry

Sexual Harassment News

Together with the International Labour Organisation, the International Arts and Entertainment Alliance (the Global Union Federation, constituted by FIA, FIM and UNI-MEI) elaborated a survey to explore the issue of sexual harassment and responses to it in the live performance and audiovisual industry.

The survey has several objectives:

1. Determine how working conditions, specific employment relationships and the sectoral organization of work in the audiovisual and live performance industry may lead to sexual harassment at work (including work-related environments)

2. Identify actions/initiatives, policy frameworks in place, protocols or procedures to respond to sexual harassment at the sectoral level

3. Identify how workers’ and employers’ organizations in the sector address sexual harassment

We would be very grateful if you can answer this survey by 15 September 2018 at the latest. The survey will provide a basis for further work on this issue at international level and we very much hope it will draw in a strong response from the sector.

While answering the questions, do not hesitate to provide any relevant information or link to documents that may be useful for a more in-depth analysis e.g. surveys already undertaken.
