FIA is always glad to welcome new unions and interested organisations may contact us in writing or by any other means to find out more about benefits and services. Please note that membership of FIA is only open to performers’ unions, guilds and professional associations only. FIA does not represent individuals other than through their respective representative organisations. Though we cannot provide advice or assistance to individual performers, we warmly encourage them to become members of a trade union in their country. 

An application form is available on this page and documentation to be provided must include a copy of your Constitution, preferably in English or French, as well as a copy of your last audited financial statements, with information regarding your annual income and expenditure.

Please make sure you have read FIA’s FAQ and Constitution before submitting your application and note that the FIA Executive Committee considers new membership applications annually.
