This is the final event of the joint FIA, FIM, UNI-MEI and EFJ project "Reaching Out to Atypical Workers". It will be an opportunity to take stock of the findings of the project as well as look towards future work in this area. The Project Handbook bringing together the project outcomes will also be launched at the Conference.
The Conference will take place in two important political venues: the European Parliament and the European Economic and Social Committee. The morning session on September 8th will be hosted by MEP Agnes Jongerius, Vice-Chair of the Parliament’s Employment Committee. The afternoon session is welcomed to the European Economic and Social Committee by the Worker’s Group. It will be opened by Kathleen Walker Shaw, rapporteur of the recent EESC opinion on The Changing Nature of Employment Relationships. The conference will be a valuable opportunity to engage with policy-makers and experts from both EU and national levels.
The Trade Union discussion and planning session on the 9th of September will also take place in the European Economic and Social Committee.
The work of this project has been possible through the financial support of the European Commission. We are therefore in a position to cover the travel and accommodation expenses of delegates participating in the Conference. Members of the EuroFIA group are warmly invited to register as soon as possible.
The programme is currently being finalised and will be available shortly. More information is also available in the dedicated project section.
